I'm interested in picking up some programming skills from someone!

My interest in programming regards the areas of game development and web design. I have some interest in building a basic platformer game in Unity at some time in the future, and I'm also working on a webcomic that may end up needing a website that is a little more unique than what my wordpress tools allow me to throw together. Those are my two big goals right now.

I have some game-dev experience in my past, worked for a few studios since 2012 as a CG artist, but I have zero programming knowledge. I've always wanted to learn and I'm seeking first steps now.

I've heard from some of my coder friends that java is the way to start learning instead of jumping right into C#. I'll do whatever is recommended.

I live in NYC in the lower east side. Let me know if you're comfortable with in-person or if you would rather work together remotely. I can swing both ways.
