I am looking for a tutor who would be able to help our daughter with college study skills. She is a sophomore in the honors program at Rutgers University hoping to major in math education. She's done well in most of her prior courses but is having a really challenging time in three of her classes, this semester. Although she did well previously generally, she's often encountered at least one class where she is really challenged no matter how hard she studies. She came to our family later in her life and she spoke no English, only mandarin, but has worked hard to succeed. Math in high school was always the subject she found fascinating and where she excelled, perhaps because there is less English involved. Taking the SAT's in the Fall of her Junior year she scored in the top 1 percent in math of all test takers. She will probably have to withdraw from this class to protect her gpa and allow her to stay in the honors program and keep her scholarships unless she can figure out how to succeed in this class.
