I'm an Analytics student pursuing an MPS and am in my second quarter.
I'm taking ALY 6050 which is Introduction to Enterprise Analytics and having a really hard time! I am generally finding the pace of the course challenging and feel like I am spending hours teaching myself things he expects we already know. This week we are doing time series and forecasting in R ( we could choose to do excel alternatively but I am trying to learn R and prefer doing the assignments there). I'm only some what familiar forecasting, and this course is also adding linear algebra into the mix which is something I have no prior experience with. Most of the examples he does in excel which also creates the added challenge of learning how to code the same problems in R. The topics of the following three weeks are "decision modeling and risk analysis", "optimization 1 linear programming and applications" and "optimization II integer and non linear programming and applications".
