We are growing quickly, and in order to support our Company, we are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our Finance team.This role involves but is not limited to, the timely and accurate processing of company payroll, benefits administration, and HR support.Key Payroll and Benefits ResponsibilitiesWork with Finance Team and Benefits Specialists to support processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 170 employees, and ensures all accompanying tasks are accurately completed in a timely manner.Exhibits strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and the ability to manage detail orientation and adherence to compliance requirements.Supports timely and accurate time entry across the organization. Ensures any missing time entries are resolved and addressed accordingly.Support in calculating and paying commissions and various other incentive bonuses.Supports determination of payroll liabilities by entering all income and social security tax information, 401(k) transfers, direct deposits, wage assignments, and garnishments. Fulfills wage garnishment requirements by completing forms, adjusting payroll records, etc.Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests from internal and external sources, and processing employment verification requests.Aids in the preparation of year-end reporting information.Partners with internal team on various Payroll and HR items.Performs a variety of daily administrative HR tasks.Delivers routine daily/weekly/monthly reporting and responds to ad hoc data requests.Confirms the accuracy of all data entered, maintains data in the system, and assures information is available on a timely basis.Conducts data analysis on HR data such as compensation, classification, employment, or benefits as directed.Acts as a point of contact for data requests within the organization and responds to technical questions and issues.Coordinates all system upgrades and communicates to applicable parties as needed.Processes Certified Payroll and OCIP Reporting to the appropriate parties.Serves as a key point of contact for relationships with key benefit vendors including, broker communications and relationships with benefits providers, health providers, Commuter, Health Savings Account (HSA), 401(k) plan, COBRA.Knowledge & SkillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Ability to perform accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities i.e. booking of journal entries, account reconciliations, and expense review.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail necessary.Self-starter and highly motivated with the ability to work independently and/or collaboratively. Ability to learn new things quickly and easily to adapt to a change in a high-growth environment.Demonstrates the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and exercise discretion and independent judgment at all times.Strong organization and time management skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented approach, and ability to establish rapport and trust quickly.Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively work with senior management, hiring managers, applicants, and candidates.Experience with cloud-based payroll systems necessary.
