Hobson is an excellent prof.. He is definitely not an simple grader, but he is reasonable. To do well in his class you must read and understand what you have read. He is always willing to help, and he is one of my favorite prof.s in the Emglish department |

Yes he is tough but NO he is not unreasonable. If you do the readings and have a basic understanding of the english language you will do fine. Yes you have to work, but this is college! If you are in EL5000 you are about to graduate...what did you expect? |

make sure you have your textbook and never miss a class or he'll dislike you, participation is a must and dont screw up you dont get a second shot ever |

He is a difficult grader.He is very strict with how he wants papers written. He is big on quoting and citation.He is also a huge william blake fan.On a different note,if you are having trouble try to meet with him and he will genuninely help you out.Try to avoid if possible though. |

well he's a difficult grader but you got to know your things(the way he teaches it dont challenge him!) and must attend class or he'll take a real disliking of you dont slack off and be prepared to spend countless hours reading/studying the same thing over and over and still not understand it and also a ton of things to memorize, be on your A game |

DONT BE ABSENT!!!!! he's pretty difficult and he doesn't offer much extra help so try to grasp the concept right away or you might be in trouble, he expects you to memorize A LOT of info for both final and mid year exam and he even lists lines from several (about 30-45 poems) you cover in the class and then expects you to name them and from which book |
