She knows her things but she is not great at teaching Government Accounting. If you want to learn the material be prepared to teach yourself. I received an "A" in the class but I am still lost when it comes to government accounting.
If looks could kill everyone would be dead. But behind that very stern face is a intelligent lady. She def. knows her things. She does not review for exams, she hints at them during class discussion. Grades were really great at the end of class surprisingly.
I enjoyed Prof. Rich's class, she has a wealth of knowledge/experience. If you listen to her courses, extract all of that information and apply it towards your career in accounting. Read the book, go to class, do the work, and be prepared to engage the prof. & your other classmates during discussions. One of my fave prof.s at Old Westbury
If you show up, do what you're told and read the user friendly textbooks there should be no reason to not do well. If you're into accounting she makes it real life and doesn't sugar coat anything. That's great teaching and plus she's a professional in the field.
Prof is actually pretty simple. She cracks a lot of jokes and she generally does one chapter a class and spends more time for lengthy chapters. She looks like she's tough but she's actually pretty simple going and her exam is super simple - basic accounting things. She does require a paper but it involves calculating ratios so it is super simple! I like her
Prof. Rich is not the great teacher at Old Westbury. |
