Playing Cupid: Valentine’s Day, Where to Go and What to Wear

There’s a feeling of romance in the air that lets you know that Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. It is not just a day for lovers; in fact no one should be alone on such an amorous day. It makes for a great excuse to go out and spend time with people you appreciate be it family, friends, or even co-workers. Such a romantically fueled holiday leaves many to wonder where should I go but more importantly what should I wear.

When you’re out on the ice and you want to look great while also maintaining warmth try a casual yet cool ensemble. Knit sweaters are a winter go-to; they’re warm, comfortable and can genuinely work with anything. Graphic pants make any outfit stand out; a black and white print gives you more freedom to pair colored pieces. Parka jackets were this fall/winters biggest comeback. Often fashioned with hoodies to protect the face from a combination of freezing temperatures and wind it is functional yet fashionable!

Dinner is always a perfect excuse to get all dolled up. This Valentine’s Day, don’t be afraid to try something new, like cuisine you never would eat. A peplum dress is suitable for any occasion; it’s flirty and elegant. What better way to pair a lovely little black peplum dress than with a rich, textured pair of velvet heels. A sophisticated little clutch with fierce silver accessories top it all off.

Why not get out and get on the dance floor this Valentine’s Day. When you are out for a night of dancing instead of wearing a teeny-tiny dress that you have to constantly keep an eye on to prevent a peek-a-boo situation a jumpsuit would suit you well! It complements any shape and you can jazz up a short romper with decorative tights or do a dramatic full length with statement making booties. A chain head wrap will give the outfit a glamorous finish.
