Last Laugh

“Last Laugh”, a new student stand-up comedy competition is being launched on Old Westbury Television (OWTV) this semester.   All faculty and students can participate with hopes of getting the last laugh.

According to “Last Laugh” coordinators, participants will first go through an audition process, and then the voting will begin, similar to American Idol.  The “Last Laugh” coordinators encourage all comedians to audition.

Melissa Marinovich, “Last Laugh” Executive Director, told the Catalyst that some of the prizes include an opportunity to perform at the 6th Annual Long Island Comedy Festival, and a copy of the winner’s very own stand-up presentation on DVD.

OWWR Radio Station Manager, Professor Joseph Manfredi said, “It’s an exciting opportunity for students to show off their comedic skills, and a chance to perform at a real comedy club.”

If you’re not funny, you can just watch.  “Last Laugh” will air on Channel 3, Facebook and YouTube.
