his Literature across cultures is terrible. you have to lead neurotic books that only he finds fascinating. and you have to journals, and be prepared to write 10-15 pages in a undergraduate course. this isn't graduate college. he is a terrible grader. i dislike THIS CLASS. and he is so not hot. cursing is unprofessional in general at college. |

Dissinger is the great prof. that I have had at Old Westbury. He works you difficult so be prepared to read and write, but in the end it was rewarding. Cares a lot about his students and is willing to work with you to make your writing the great it could be. Would take him for every English class if I could. Creative and fascinating |

I dislike THIS CLASS!!BE PREPARED TO READ ATLEAST 4 BOOKS FROM FRONT TO BACK AND THEN WRITE A PAPER ABOUT EACH ARANGING FROM 5-15PAGES. YOU WILL HAVE AN JOURNAL DUE EVERY SINGLE WEEK.HE LOVES POETRY AND THINKS EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD TOO. HE EXSPECTS ALOT OUT OF EVERYONE PERIOD. YOU CAN NOT BE ABSENT FOR HIS CLASS A DOCTORS NOTE IS STILL NOT ACCEPTABLE!! |

Adolescent Literature in this class-expect to read plentiful books/readings!!! He's very picky, a stickler to lates/absents, and no tolerance for late papers. Prof. Dissinger is a great guy and accommodating, but he contradicts himself a lot and is a tough grader. You have to work really difficult to get an A and participation is a MUST!!! |

Might be biased since I liked English before this class, so I really enjoyed CW. Can be tough w/ all of the poetry, stories, plays, etc every week. You WILL write a lot so don't sign up for the class if you're not ready to. Prof himself is great, very off-the-wall and random but you come to appreciate it. Very creative man. Would take him again! |

Dissenger is definitely one of the friendlyst prof.s I've had so far. I had him for creative writing last year & he made the class a lot of fun. Gotta love improv day! |

Professional and laid back at the same time. Quite contradicting but he can balance the side comments and lay down the hammer when necessary. I highly recommend him and advocate his teaching methods. |
