Although not the great class I have taken, it wasn't the worst either. I did well in her class. I didn't find the work difficult - which is great because we really didn't learn much. I'm taking her again for Intro to Humanities. Figured I did well so mind as well take her again! |

Kande is an intelligent, passionate prof. with reasonable expectations. THIS IS COLLEGE! She's rated unimpartially because of the immaturity of the student body. I took Carib Lit & got an A. Students laughed and weren't serious during close readings! Dumbfounded by the lack of maturity/seriousness of fellow students! She is too great for Westbury! |

Grading system is incomprehensible. You never know what your actual standing is until your final grade. My range of grades was from a 50 on a paper (I was a 3.9 GPA student until this class.) to a 96 on the final. She gave the same comments on my 50 paper as a fellow student who received a 94. I would recommend not taking her, bad communicator. |

I took the online class also,like everyone else mentioned she is very vague in her projects, and seems rough in her grading. BUT, I was surprised with my final grade. It was much better then I had ever expected! With that in mind, she wasn't as bad as I thought, and I did actually learn about the time period. |

THis is an online course and she has not taught anything, she just gives out projects. ANd the projects are vague - when you ask a question, she doesnt answer for days if at all! And no rhyme or reason to WHEN she will post projects |

Class started late it was suppose to begin on May 24th nothing appeared until May 25th. Online courses failed to order the book with the bookstore. People are still hunting for the book 2nd week into a class that ends June 11th. NOT impartial |

terrible prof.. She doesn't specify what she wants, and expects you to figure it out yourself. I have witnessed her completely ignore students that asked her questions regarding her papers, she just doesn't care. She gave a review sheet for the mid year exam and the actual mid year exam had none of that info on it. |

shes difficult and her accent is difficult but she gave me an A! i wasnt expecting it but she goes in on attendance and she calls you out to explain work so be prepared and participate otherwise she goes down the attendance list forcing you to participate and worse if you dont know what youre saying she'll embarass you so trust me, be prepared and study |

A lot of the problems with the many prof.s is that they know the subject but can't teach it well to the students. prof. Kande has this problem. She is a very friendly woman and the accent doesn't bother me however, she is not clear in her explanations and leaves the class confused. If you need great courses to do well then don't take her! |
