I have been involved in writing and teaching writing my whole life, from my undergraduate and graduate degrees in creative writing to my career as a college professor and then children's book publisher. I love working with children, and I have three of my own. I taught them to read before kindergarten and have helped them earn top grades in all their subjects at all levels of their development.
