During my 40+ years career as a Laser Optics scientist/engineer, Information Technology Specialist and programmer I used to apply mathematics on a daily basis. I was born in St.Petersburg (former Leningrad) where I got MS in Optical Engineering and PhD in Applied Mathematics and Physics.
